Worcester, MA – September 21, 2009 - Niche Hospitality Group would like to announce the Grand Opening of its newest concept, The Jewel Box, an Asian Bistro. The Jewel Box is located at 139 Green St. Worcester, in the former location of Block 5 and will open to the public on September 29, 2009.  The space at 139 Green St. has been renovated, and the hospitality group is proud to present a modern eclectic fusion of Asian style and cuisine.

Block 5 was the first Niche concept, and the base from which three other successful restaurants have developed. The American bistro, with its sophisticated décor and tantalizing spin on traditional comfort food, has received critical acclaim.  The concept has evolved, and is now moving in the direction of a more environmentally conscious, sustainable, farm to table dining experience.  The relationship between Niche and the Beechwood Hotel has provided a perfect environment to cultivate the growth of this idea and the ability to take it to the next level.  The space and the surroundings of the Beechwood offer the best platform to deliver a restaurant that meets all of the group’s aspirations. Niche Hospitality Group is excited and committed to this project, and anticipates an early 2010 opening.

The Jewel Box will add a unique experience to the culturally diverse fabric of the Canal District.  Niche Hospitality Group has proven the neighborhood as a dining destination.  The area has also become synonymous with destination drinking.  The Jewel Box is positioned to offer a seamless integration of both.

The menu at The Jewel Box is designed for sharing.  Categories include Dim Sum, appetizers, soups and salads, rice and noodle dishes, meat and seafood entrees, clay pot dinners, house signatures, and desserts.  Many dishes are vegetarian and/or gluten free.  There are Japanese bento boxes offering an assortment of appetizers and dim sum for the table, and Jewel Box experiences that allow guests to taste a variety of the dishes offered. The spirit menu features hand crafted,  house designed libations from the Shogun to the Mongolian Margarita, as well as the signature Scorpion Bowl for sharing.

As with all of the Niche concepts, The Jewel Box will continue to deliver what customers have come to expect; unparalleled quality, taste, value, atmosphere, service, and of course, hospitality.  The goal, as always, is to provide guests with a seamless experience that exceeds all of their expectations.

The Jewel Box will be open daily from 4:30 PM – 2:00 AM.  Menu will be served until 10:00 PM Monday through Wednesday, until midnight on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and until 9:00 PM on Sundays.
