While cigars have always been a traditionally man-driven activity, the fact of the matter is when you have a great setting like Victory Bar & Cigar combined with some great options and alternative accessories, the act of smoking a cigar can be preferred by women and men alike!
Mark Piscillo takes us to Victory Bar and Cigar to show us the three methods of making the perfect cut for your cigar.
While the news has reported heavily on the increased taxes on tobacco, and we all know the negative effects, the reality is that people who enjoy smoking—in any form—will continue to do so. With that said, there are a lot of special occasions that even non-smokers find the reason to light up a celebratory smoke, and regardless the occasion, Worcester has a lot of options.
For decades, the Owl Shop has been Worcester’s place for buying tobacco related products. Several years ago, they opened their smoke shop upstairs and have been operating both. For those looking for a cigar bar, Worcester has two great choices, Victory Bar and Cigar on Shrewsbury Street and the newly opened (April 2009) Michael’s Cigar Bar on Exchange Place which offers cigars from around the world, relaxing atmosphere, and a great bar/drinks. Michael’s keeps the non-smoker in mind, with excellent ventilation, for those who want to enjoy a drink in a mature place.
Looking for a different type of atmosphere and cigars not your thing? Worcester has three fantastic hookah bars to choose from. The Hooka Hot Spot is a great BYOB on Franklin Street that is open until 4am on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Want to stay on Park Ave? Try Spiritual Haze, a local hot spot started by a Clark University student. Be one of the first to visit Amsterdam Lounge when they open their doors this weekend. Amsterdam Lounge is the first hookah bar to have a full bar and full kitchen; it is located on Pleasant Street.
